Hayley is a recent college graduate from James Madison University, where she double majored in Communications, concentrating in public relations, and Media, Arts, and Design, concentrating in Journalism. She is from Virginia Beach, VA. Hayley loves connecting with people and communities and helping people tell their stories. She loves exercising and socializing with friends and family.
Hayley’s passion for journalism began in high school, where on a whim she signed up for a journalism class and shortly started working on the school newspaper staff. She later became one of the publication’s editors and chief. It was on a school field trip to the local TV news station however, that really sealed the deal.
The summer between her junior and senior year of college, Hayley interned at her local ABC affiliate WVEC 13NewsNow. Over her 8-week program she developed knowledge and skills to make her successful in the career. The more experience Hayley gains the more she falls deeper into love for the job. She is really looking forward to working for NC AG Weekly and hopes to add something special to the team.
